About me
Hien Nguyen, PharmD, BCGP is an Ambulatory Pharmacist Clinician at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health (LGH). She is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences; and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and a PGY2 Geriatrics and Academia Pharmacy Residency at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) and University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She is a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) and is primarily involved in promoting older adult care in the ambulatory setting. Hien works at the Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians Geriatrics, along with providing medication access services for arthritis and rheumatology patients. Her professional areas of interest include osteoporosis/bone health, deprescribing/appropriate prescribing, and mentoring/precepting future generations of pharmacists. Hien precepts both PGY1 and PGY2 programs for pharmacy residents and serves as a faculty member for the Geriatrics Medicine Fellowship at LGH. She is an active member of PSHP, most recently completing her Immediate Past President role in 2023 for the Southeastern Chapter; along with holding active membership with the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) and American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (ASHP).
